Aloe vera
Originally from the arid soils of southern Africa. It grows up to 5 m in height, grey-green fleshy leaves, leaves on the edge are toothed or prickly, flowers in spikes up to 1 meter high. The name comes from the Arabic alloeh - bitter.
Used part
The sap from the leaves is a thick, viscous liquid.
With a high content of anthracene derivatives - aloin A and B. a valuable source of vitamins, minerals and resin. Aloe contains more than 200 active substances, which show beneficial effects through joint synergistic action.
